Only 4 weeks out of Google I/O and the release of the Nexus7, and there are already 5-6 articles posted about the next smartphone from Google. No news has been leaked, but it seems that these writers around the globe have been having similar inspirations about the next Google device.
The ones that I've read are all talking about non-sense tech (hardware) that they'd like to see on the new phone, bigger battery, 1080p, bigger screen; none of them are thinking big, Google big.
I feel its about time Google starts pushing Android into new technology, water resistant devices are long over due, and the next Nexus should be the phone to do it.
Google is known for pushing innovations into their tech that makes the product more consumer friendly, I'm tired of wiping away smudges on the glass of my phone and tablet, grease resistant glass required.
There are definitely more unheard technologies out there that Google should explore into, for innovations sake. If Apple is killing innovation, Google would be seen as a hero for reviving it to an extreme degree.

EDIT
As it turned out the Nexus 4 came with wireless charging. That works I guess.
