Bucks at Celtics - Game 2
Celtics played the Bucks tonight and can I say *WOW*!
Brad Stevens must be one great coach because we rebounded the basketball. I've never seen us fill up the rebounding column the way we did tonight. Vitor with 18, Bass and Green with 9, and Wallace with 6. Of the 9 players that played tonight 8 of them had 2 or more rebounds. That's what I call learning from the past (and stats) and Mr. Stevens has a lot more games to go this season to learn from.
We lost our 22 point lead; our turnovers were pretty high still (17), our three-point shooting could have been much better (4/16), our free throw shooting probably lost us the game (26/38) and Jeff Green didn't score 20+ points like he's supposed to nor did he attack from start to finish. But they are all things we can work on and, knowing Mr. Stevens, will work on.
Olynyk and Bradley weren't much of a factor on the grid either. Bradley missed a lot but at least took his shots (4/14 in 33 minutes). Olynyk though, where was he? 2/5 shooting in 14 minutes? Did they not want him to play? Mr. Stevens is probably still testing out lineups and how people play with bulk minutes (the starters all got over 30 minutes tonight), but still - *play Olynyk*.
We lost another close one, but I guess that's a good thing because the more losses the better (in a way). I'm not really a fan of losing, even for the greater good, but I'm happy we're playing hard and losing these close games. Pretty soon our guys are going to get tired of losing and start playing with a chip on their shoulder. And when they get chippy...
