And then? Summer begins

So I've been waiting to write this.
This summer I'm in Toronto. With a job. As a Junior Software Developer.

Very exciting stuff, most first years can't get something like this and I'm very very very lucky and fortunate to have such amazing cousins that help me out in more ways than I know.

(So here comes one of those future things that I told myself not to do in the last one)

I need to get into a routine and here's what I have on my mind:

  • Blog-a-day
I have a secret development project that I call "Project Arjun" that has been sitting around for a year now and I need to make some advancements in it. Based on my yearly goals, it essentially consists of improving my creative thinking, knowledge base and personality to be more what I see myself being. The goal of the project is simply that future me should be better than past me, and present me needs to do something about it. Blogging more often will force me to reflect everyday and thereby allow me to notice myself so I can improve my behavior. I just realized that I probably sound like some kind of crazy right now. I'm an engineer though so it's okay.
  • Ardruino Programming
One of my very awesome cousins sent me an Ardruino Processor and toolkit for my birthday and I plan on experimenting with it. I want to keep the routine light though so this will be a weekend project for me. (I think it's important not to over schedule oneself, especially when self-scheduling.) I'm going to start small with only one or two components and work myself up to a rocket game. I'll be honest I have no idea what I'm doing so it'll be a slow start
  • Fitness Freak
The running challenge was only the beginning, I successfully got myself to run for 30 minutes sustainably. However, I've faltered since then and I'm back down to 20 minutes. The true goal is 40 minutes, and I'm really motivated to get there. I don't exactly know how I'm going to get my run in though. I dislike running in the evenings and I prefer a treadmill, which means I'll have to get a gym membership near the office and run over lunchtime. More on that tomorrow.
  • Cooking Chef
I probably won't get started on this one until later in the month, partly because I have no idea what I want from it. I really haven't given it much thought, I just know it's something I want and need to learn. I don't even know what I want to cook.
  • Coop Crazy
The office being in downtown Toronto has it's benefits, there are a lot of office workers hmmmmm. I'm going to go snooping around and visit other offices, broadening my network and looking for possible companies for my next coop term. This too will be weekly and probably won't start until I get settled in Toronto a bit more.
I can't think of anything else right now but this will be enough to start with.

I'm still posting things on Google+ with #InnovatingLife so there will be updates on there too, stay tuned.

Safe to say I'm really excited about this summer.
