The good:
- A good friend from Edmonton called me today. It seems like things are looking up for the house we're trying to rent for the following school year.
- I spent yesterday evening with my Bhaiya and Bhabi (my cousin and his wife) and just thinking about being with them makes me smile. They are so awesome together and it is so awesome to hang out with them. I hope I get to more often over the summer. Easily two of the best young people in my life to look up to. Bhabi showed me around (quickly) UofT campus and wow is it awesome! It's so similar to UofA except older and more modern at the same time. Pictures below.
- I finally played basketball, first time in at least two months. These boys nearby play all the time in their driveway (not that good though) and I finally got out to go play with them. I turned it into a pretty funny story actually. I wore baggy grey clothes and told them that I'm really old and not very good and then I took them to school. I gave them all nicknames and started calling them out on their bad plays and decisions. They didn't have the rim at a full 10ft and after I got warmed up I started dunking. Their defense stunk and I pretty much got everything I wanted, and I'm not even that good. It was awesome.
- I watched "Well done, Abba" Bollywood movie with Ajjima and Ajjoba (grandparents). Extremely well done movie. Simply fun to watch. 100% enjoyment.
- Then I finally got to the finale of "How I Met Your Mother". So heartwarming. Ted Mosby is somehow so relatable, and his love story is so nice. "Emotionally enduring" as they said. It is really making me miss a really old friend of mine. Back from elementary school. Our paths began to separate in gr10 and by gr12 we were more distant than anything. I wonder what was going through our heads when we parted ways last time, maybe that was the last time. So unfortunate. I seem to have a knack for making good friendships like that, but this one
iswas something else. A year ago I probably would be so sad and mad that our paths separated the way it did, but now I'm just so emotionally happy that I even could have such a friendship.
The bad:
- I'm pretty sure I haven't showered in two days.
They ugly:
- Kalburgi household has issues man. I don't even want to be in all this.
Photo's from the ... time.
I was just in so much awe with how many staples were in this thing that I had to take a picture of it.
Also, to the people asking me why I call Toronto TDOT, suit up man.
I had to take a picture of Bhaiya's "bachelor pad" turnt "couple's pad". Bhabi has painted all the walls 'nice' colours: light blue, light green, white. And then there is the laundry room (very small, fits the laundry machine and that it) - it's 'lavender' oh you devious Bhabi, I love you so.
I seem to have only taken pictures of the older looking buildings (convocation hall on the top right, a hall that actually looks like a legislative building the way it overlooks the grassy patch, and the castle-like, Vegas-hotel-looking library on the bottom right. It's actually gigantic. There were other building there too that looked modern, like they belonged in Metropolis.
To be honest though, I'm happy at UofA, where it's much easier to focus on school.
