Ideals and Truth

Hello world!
It feels great to be done final exams however upon reflection I remembered last year's school end was more joyous, this year it feels like the break between coming out of an ordeal and going into a worse one. Fitting for the experiences of both past and future. Lot's of work to do this summer too: summer school, university research, grade 12 prep, and, as is every year, getting back into shape!

I'll update you on those dilemma's as I go, but for now an interesting argument re-established by the newest Pokemon world. Always a Pokemon fan though more distant today than ever, still am keeping in touch. The newest generation, Generation V, deals with two legendaries, one for Ideals and the other for Truth. The legend tells a tale of two brothers who separated paths based on their own self-righteousness. One of course for Truth and one for Ideals. However today it is not the story that is my topic but instead the argument itself.

One the one side we have Truth, many teachings believe it is the most righteous and pure thought. Truth is not only an opposite of lie, but also adjective describing the top most being/object/thought, and even something to be sought after, the Universal Truth. Truth to me is something very mature, wielded only by leaders, something that defies all else.

The other side is it's lesser known but equally compelling equivalent, Ideals. Ideals are the thoughts that one believes are perfect representations of our world. An idealist is one who dreams of new ways to run society, or the economy, or whatever they set their mind to. Ideals are dreams, passions, compassion's that one has for the world. I am an idealist.

These are two very different idea's, and are not opposite at all. Truth doesn't have one defined opposite, and Ideals only opposite is the negative form of the Ideal itself. There is no better, there is no comparison, so then why has Nintendo made this the main story of the game, and after coming to this conclusion, why am I even writing this blog.

I am writing this blog because my conclusion on the comparison was strange to me, and fits well with my "Innovating Life" theme. My conclusion is not one over the other, but that both are needed, and used, to establish living. Each individual will have different perceptions of Truth, and different thoughts of Ideals, and those perceptions and thoughts create and reflect our own character. I am hardworking, no one will speak against it, my truth is that hard work can better talent, that hard work will always pay off, my ideals, which are vast and topic specific are what I apply that Truth to. I fight for my Ideals with my Truth, they work side by side, together. And it is important for me to see that, and to reflect upon it with the questions about my goals and my right conduct, because as I change, so will these, and if they are not in check to my morals, I will lose myself.

Innovating Life, or in this case reflecting on it,
