It's not even raining today it's just really windy but it's just for continuation for blogs about Google I/O to have Monsoon Notebook in the title.
Todays Keynote Overview.
I can't believe what Google was focusing on all this time, Google Play! I was thinking Android @ Home, but really all that is, is the chance for hardware developers to build hardware that can get on the Android wagon! All along it's been Google Play that has been the focus point for the integration of Google's tools. The Nexus7 is optimized for this purpose what with it's perfect design for all the Play Store's various elements. Not to mention Jelly Bean !!!!!!!! Anything unexpected? Umm... nope! But awesome nonetheless. All Google really did was made it smoother, which is always expected from a new version of Android, but Google Now is so amazing! It's Siri but better, it works, it's on the device, it's Google, it's organisation, it's AI, it's a mind of it's own and it communicated with you. Google has always been on top of Voice Command research, and they don't even call it Voice Command, that's successful. Together Google Play and Google+ connect all the features of Google, including Android and Nexus. Now that Andorid and Nexus are closer with Google Play, Google+ has become closer with Calendar with the new "Events" which has an awesome UI and is really optimized for having fun with your Android device (Party Now). Google+ also has a new front, GOOGLE GLASS! Was it not awesome when Mr. Brin came in and took over? Was it not awesome when there was Glasses everywhere, on all those stunt-men and woman just for an introduction (for a then boring presentation) ? It's not just a new device to replace camera's, it's actually a device that will get people using Google+. Sneaky Google. By producing a new device everyone wants, and publicizing it so that EVERYONE will want it, we see that Google+, which has deep integration with the device, will become EVERYONE'S social networking platform.
Expecting big things, and we got them, but there are some things that were left out. Google TV, ChromeOS and the Self-Driving Car. Not expecting Larry Page to jump out of one in tomorrow's keynote but hey, anything's possible.
No matter what anyone says, GOOGLE I/O IS A SUCCESS AND HAS REJUVENATED THE COMPANY, and it's only day1.
