A new year.

I'm always trying to learn and new years is a time to look back on what we've all done. But, for me, it doesn't feel right.

I have a distinct memory of originally starting my journey (the very same one that this blog is dedicated for) on new years day 2012. It's been a whole year and even I can tell that I've come a long way. But like I said, it doesn't feel right.

There have been moments throughout my journey that have been prime for reflection and contemplation. These prime moments are always at the end of one of the total journey's smaller stories. Unfortunately I'm not at the end of one of these stories.

But I'm not in the middle of one either. I believe that my last major story ended a while back and that I haven't started my next one yet. I feel a cliché new years resolution coming...

Yes, if new years marks a time for reflection of the past it must also mark for some contemplation for the future, so here I go.

Thinking about this all as I write, I want to move in a more professional direction. (Professional sounds a bit businessy to me right now, maybe I'll change it later.) I think I want to start performing my abilities better this year. Whether it's organizing events, or even cleaning my room, I want to start thinking the project through with greater detail to design and message. (It is businessy who am I kidding.) This will mean more focus on the overall project rather than the small corrections and persistence that sums up 2012.

Design and Message. 2013. Here I come.
